| "La contingencia sanitaria provocada por el nuevo coronavirus SARSCoV-2 causante de la enfermedad COVID-19 ha afectado al sector de la investigación y por ende a los académicos que están a su cargo. Sin embargo, hasta ahora no existe evidencia que indique el tipo de problemática que enfrentan los investigadores ante la contingencia y las medidas implementadas para su mitigación. Por lo anterior, se realizó un estudio mediante una encuesta a nivel nacional a investigadores mexicanos para conocer las dificultades que enfrentan los investigadores en materia de docencia e investigación. Los resultados obtenidos indican que los investigadores enfrentan un gran reto para poder desarrollar sus proyectos y para formar los recursos humanos asociados a los mismos, además de que la masiva generación de información de COVID-19 está provocando retraso en el proceso de publicación de artículos y así mismo, existe una carencia de convocatorias, limitando el financiamiento de proyectos diferentes a los establecidos para COVID-19. Finalmente, el estado anímico y de salud de los investigadores se ha visto comprometido por la cuarentena, el exceso de trabajo y las vicisitudes antes mencionadas." "The health contingency caused by the new coronavirus SARSCoV-2 that causes the COVID-19 disease has affected the research sector and therefore the academics who are in their charge. However, so far there is no evidence that indicates the type of problem faced by researchers in the event of the contingency and the measures implemented to mitigate it. Therefore, a study was carried out through a nationwide survey of Mexican researchers to find out the difficulties faced by researchers in teaching and research. The results obtained show that researchers face a great challenge to be able to develop their projects and to train the human resources associated with them, in addition to that the massive generation of information about COVID-19 is causing a delay in the process of publishing articles and likewise, there is a lack of grants, limiting the financing of projects other than those established for COVID-19.
