| "Guásimas se localiza en la planicie costera del estado de Sonora. En este cuerpo lagunar se determinó su batimetría, distribución de facies sedimentarias y ambientes de depósito. Para ello se emplearon técnicas convencionales ampliamente reconocidas de campo, laboratorio y gabinete. Se identificaron tres zonas relacionadas con la profundidad y distribución de facies sedimentarias: los tamaños de arena gruesa moderadamente seleccionada se encuentran en la entrada donde la profundidad va de 0.5 a 10 m, cambiando a arena muy fina mal seleccionada hacia el norte (Estero Bachoco), donde la profundidad va de 0.5 a 3 m, y a limo muy mal seleccionado hacia el sur (Estero Mapoli) con 0.5 a 1 m de profundidad. Este arreglo es típico de laguna costera y se encuentra asociado a las corrientes de agua dentro del ambiente lagunar, el cual se interpretó empleando parámetro de asimetría (SKφ), como ambientes de depósito de alta, media y baja energía, consistentes con la batimetría y geomorfología. Aun cuando no fue posible identificar claramente la huella de depósito generada por los agentes y mecanismos de transporte, se logró reconocer la gradación de un ambiente a otro y las características texturales de las diferentes facies sedimentarias." "Guásimas, is located on the coastal plain of Sonora State. Its batimetry, sedimentary facies distribution and depositional environments were determined. Conventional widely recognized field, laboratory and studio techniques were used to process the samples. Three areas related with the depth and distribution of sedimentary facies were identified: the sizes of thick sand moderately selected they are in the entrance where the depth goes from 0.5 to 10 m, changing to very fine sand poorly selected toward the north (Estero Bachoco), where the Depth is from 0.5 to 3 m, and to half silt very bad selected toward the south (Estero Mapoli) with 0.5 to 1 m of depth. This arrangement is typical of coastal lagoon and it is associated to the currents of water inside the lagoon environment, which was interpted using the parameter of skewness (SKφ), like depositional environments of high, medium and low energy, coherent with the batimetry and geomorphology. Even though it was not possible to identify fluvidepositional signals generated by agents and mechanisms of transport clearly, but we could recognize the gradation from one environment to another and the textural characteristics of the different sedimentary facies." | |
